I remember going to North Bay, Ont. in the summers of the early 1980's. I can recall a large CP rail yard and engine facilities. Is North Bay still a large hub for active? Or any other railroads? If anyone has pictures or general information this would help. Thank you.

Wasn't North Bay also a station on the Ontario Northland?

I see, I always thought that CP had some control in North Bay. ON Rail seems to be very strong in Canada. How much traffic does ON Rail do in North Bay?

I've been looking for information. Not finding any.

I'd swear that about two weeks ago, I heard mention of a railroad cutting back it's operations. Due to a major shipper closing down. It may have been the ONR.

The line through North Bay used to be operated by CPR but is now leased to the Ottawa Valley Rail Link. (OVR) CP trains still operate regularly over this line, but the facilities at North Bay now belong ot the OVR.
