http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=504004&key=0 Ok guys im confused on this reject. I have never heard/seen such a rejection on Railpictures. Can anyone spot the Dirt/Dust ont his picture? Cause I sure cant....
There are two spots that I can find. One, in the upper left corner of the pic; the second directly to the right of the beacon light. That being said, it's a fine photo. You know how railpictures is. I can find errors with nearly every one of the photos I've taken, and I'm alright with that. I'm guessing that you had some dust on your lens, not your "scanner".
Yea I have dust on my sensor. I need to get a can of air and blow it off. I did get the shot accepted tho. I did a clone stamp and bumped the contrast up and it got accepted.
Alex, Photo looks great to me. After looking at it for a while, I found the two spots Old Reliable pointed out. Still don't see that as a reason to reject the pic from posting. My theory is that some of the screeners at RailPictures just enjoy coming up with reasons to reject photos. I know one guy who has quite a lot of pics on there and he has had pics rejected for countless reasons and complains about it all the time. He has even commented that he has resubmitted the same photo a day later and it would get through and posted. Seeing all that was enough to turn me off from even trying to post anything more there than I did.
Nice shot, but there's a reason I avoid submitting to railpictures. Everyone here seems to like my stuff,so it comes here instead.
Well, I'm here to enjoy what's going on, with all aspects of following railroading. Your photos are my eyesight to a different part of this world. Boxcab E50
Yea I understand but its always fun to have some competiton and try getting shots on RP. I currently have 41 so im happy.
Alex, I think its great you've been able to get stuff posted on Railpictures. You have a talent for taking pictures. I've not had luck with that site, although I've only tried submitting anything twice. The last time I tried I was told they didn't need any pictures of common power. When I replied that I didn't think a high-nose SD40-2 was all that common anymore and I've seen them accept countless wedge shots of GEVOs and Dash9s. They came back and said that the sky was overcast. I'll admit 9am sunlight in Tennessee in July could be mistaken for clouds. Just keep taking the great pictures you do and we'll keep enjoying them whether its here or over there. Dan
Alex, maybe they were talking about the dirt on the engine plow. You know your photos are always welcome here, and it has been a pleasure witnessing your photographic skills grow by leaps and bounds. Please don't use that canned air on your digital sensor, it may damage it. See if you can find one of the old "squeeze types" that us old folks used to use on film cameras. I'll bet your dad has one. :tb-biggrin:
HaHa!!! Alex, maybe you should send it to the Louisville Ghost Hunters and claim that you captured orbs in your picture!:tb-tongue:
