Agreed, that's a cool shot Campp. That idea crossed my mind but the pair of blue covered hoppers just seemed like a sign. ;-) You definitely did it justice.
BOOOO!!! U of L all the way Now since everyone knows who looks better *Cough* ME *Cough*.....:tb-biggrin:
Blue Skys,Blue Grain Car & A Blue Loco! This is the best I could come up with this weekend since I railfanned the NS this weekend!
I never thought I would have so much trouble coming up with something blue... After many enjoyable hours trackside with Mikado and nsfan14, I came up with nothing I thought was very blue, so I hit up the old Jeff yard and found some Long Island Railroad coaches. The sun has very nearly turned them gray, the rain nearly brown. By the way, these guys can make you a heck of a deal on a late model used forklift, Astro van, or railway coach!
Here’s mine from the IC/CN yard Effingham IL, GT 4928 and CN 9454 One of the train crewmen there offered to sell the GT to me for a penny a pound, but my wife said H*** NO, with that, your going to die look. inch
I spent the weekend in Glenwood Springs, CO and the only blue that I captured was the Red, White, & Blue speeding across a Grande bridge. Ben
Saw a coal drag going through the backyard this afternoon with a new CSXT ES44AH and thought, hey - blue CSX engines, blue sky - so here's what I got:
Here is shot submitted for both Hemi and I. We basically have the same shot and he is not home to upload his. An Eastbound BNSF trackage rights train lead by CEFX 1017 drifts downgrade over the crossing at Pinecliff, CO. 4/6/08
The poll has been opened I hope we get lots of voters to thank all those who have participated An excellent effort by everyone, some really great shots.
Hmm, I guess "24 Hours of Trainboard" strikes again. Never once saw this thread pop up in my unread items this past week. Oh well at least my favorite of the group actually won anyway. Great win Campp!
Thanks Paul and everyone. These challenges are really fun, let's hope we can get some new participants to give it a try!
