    Hi everyone;

    I was wondering if there are web sites that deal with 1950's area Piggyback trailers.
    I need pictures, paint scemes, how they were tied down, anything to do with Piggyback running.
    Also, does anyone know if "Ultimate N Scale" is still in business or if someone bought them out.

    Thanks

    I'm not at home where my library is, but I've got a book with some really cool pics. I'll look up the name and post it as soon as I can. Was farely new and relatively cheap too. [IMG]

    OK, the book I got is

    A Model Railroaders Guide to
    Intermodal Equipment & Operations
    Author is Jeff Wilson
    Softcover 80 pages
    Kalmbach Publishing 1999
    ISBN 0-89024-313-1
    $15.99 US

    First two chapters have many cool pics of really early intermodal equipment. The rest is pretty much modeling projects for both HO and N scale.

    Picked it up at my LHS since I love N scale intermodal.

    So far, I've been looking for the same kind of stuff from the '50s and it's been in small amounts where you could find it. Each railroad developed service on their own and in the earlier days did things differently from each other. So going to books/sites on individual railroads will help.

    The site this is from has just a little intermodal, but this Soph Marty photo is for you:
