Just to give an idea of how vertical this layout is, up top here is the switching district for leadville. The mountain peaks go all the way to the ceiling, a little over 7 feet from the floor. The switching up here requires a step-stool to get up there. The tracks below that are (bottom to top); Glenwood Springs - Grand Junction Mainline and passing track, and the Glenwood Springs coal mine branch. There are two mines tucked back in there, both load hoppers with real live loads.
