I do like this caboose. Nice weathering job.

      Just thinking out loud.

Tombstone? Why Tombstone? Why a Frisco Caboose? Now it's time to get out my railroad maps. I don't remember Tombstone being a terminus for a railroad. On the other hand there's nothing like having a railroad museum, in town.

It was the Rock Island that terminated at Tucumcari, NM., Frisco was building west in the direction of the Pacific Ocean and almost made it to the South West. Alleged to be a subsidiary of the AT&SF. Pretty much got it self land locked in the north east regions of Texas.

Getting back to Tombstone. In April 1903, Tombstone celebrated the arrival of the El Paso & Southwestern Railroad. Up until then it was a buggy ride from the SP Tracks at Benson, AZ.

      FriscoBob, can probably elaborate more.

Good question Rick, I would like to know more about that history. Interesting.
I found that they have a real nice Hobby shop also next door to Big Nose Kates also. Prices are reasonable
