Ozark Mountain Railcar actually owns that car ; I'd really love to buy it and restore it for historical purposes.
It still lives? Sweet. Would be fun to restore. Historical yes, but could you also imagine it Amtrak'd?. I love the other part of it;s history. After Lncoln was done with it, the UP execs building the Transcon purchased the car. They wanted something bulletproof between them and the Indians. And The settlers... and the unpayed employees...
Hmm, did some reading on Ozark, that car may in fact not be the Lincoln, or not more than 10% of it if legend is to be believed. Bummer.
Maybe the ends are? But being a wooden car, I'd not be surprised if the fire in 1911 took everytihng but the trucks.
