"This item has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of: $49.50 !!" This is just a mistake on their part. A sheet containing 12 pair of trucks costs $49.50.
You beat me to it, Jeff. I've purchased from this seller and the prices were well in the ballpark of normal. Meanwhile, back at the Bachmann Santa Fe caboose, if you thought $15/$40/'plz bid' was good... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-N-...3861a6&pid=100009&rk=8&rkt=24&sd=201413522355 There was another listing out there for a much more sane $3.50 but I lost the URL.
If this were a little lower, I'd think about it... this is basically my first train set from 1969 with some different freight cars. This one has the Blatz "refrigerator" and PRR hopper plus a yellow transfer caboose. Mine had the Therm Ice "refrigerator" and a Norfolk Southern composite gondola plus a brown transfer caboose. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-ATL...TORY-SEALED-/351484289550?hash=item51d618a20e Actually, $14.95, what I think the MSRP was on this set in 1969 (street price was lower), put into the CPI Inflation Calculator is... $97.21. Yikes.
Here is an expensive odd duck! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Aur...-Yellow-Red-/271979618380?hash=item3f533fa04c
A simple pricing structure: every piece of rolling stock is just $14.99... http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-ATSF-Coal-Hopper-Car-/121749217985?hash=item1c58d1a2c1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-N-Scale-Union-Pacific-Boxcar-/351501147458?hash=item51d719dd42 http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Speed-...ummy-Engine-/351501147465?hash=item51d719dd49 Except this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-N-...e-51-615-02-/121749217984?hash=item1c58d1a2c0
Just for a change of pace... a "guide" from eBay. The arguing about this posting could spawn another thread http://www.ebay.com/gds/Top-8-N-Scale-Locomotives-/10000000178721768/g.html And this is just, well, ah, just look at the illustration provided... http://www.ebay.com/gds/Your-Guide-to-N-Scale-Model-Railroads-/10000000177633888/g.html
Ugh. A bit of simplification used. Not badly written, yet one can only wonder about the qualifications of these authors unknown.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/381390738459?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT The bidding on this one is liable to get even crazier with ole s***r and m***t tossing bids around like they have been!!!
Whoda think that a little truck could fetch such a price. Shoulda bought a bunch and finished paying back my student loans by now. Sent from the magical mystery box
Yeah, and nowhere on it does the word 'beer' appear. Meanwhile I got a trailer truck with the Iron City Beer logo on the trailer for $9.00. Got to be worth more than two six packs.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-OLD...ED-ON-SHORE-/141764680230?hash=item2101d55a26 Says built from kit. My son has one it is a aquarium fish tank display. I think I bought his at Walmart. However I did think of added it to my scrap yard . the paddle wheel is unprototypical narrow
You would think the air line fitting on the port stern for the bubbleator would have been a clue.....
