We had 30 miles of mainline at NTS. Figuring in the sidings in the three yards, about 40 miles of scale track. It would take an average of 23 minutes to make a lap! Then Rob Klug asked us how many cars there were not moving. 630 cars in the main yard with a total of 830 with cars parked willy nilly around the layout. I got about a half hour of video shot - movies coming soon for you that could not come.
I hope you got some "miles" of Mr Dave's Golden~Blackhawk layout. He has about 10 to 15 miles also. ...don
Haha!, the first photo is Don mining for gold, and the second is David giving the nod of approval at the mother lode!
I researched the BFY track segments. Here is a list: 90 X R001 Straight 110mm 8 X R002 Curve radius 195mm, angle 45º 1 X R004 Curve radius 220mm, angle 45º 52 X R006 Left turnout 110mm 13º 56 X R007 Right turnout 110mm. 13º 47 X R008 Straight 55mm 492 X R009 Straight 220mm 32 X R012 Curve radius 490mm, angle 13º 30 X R013 Bumper 42mm That is 808 pieces of track! 108 turnouts and 700 other pieces.
I have it as a .pdf file. Ztrack magazine will (allegedly) be doing a story in upcoming issues about the layout at NTS. I would of sent you a private message, but was blocked.
Since not everyone reads Ztrack Magazine (you bad people! ) and as a teaser to those who do: Hope I don't get in to too much trouble... 42 Z Bend modules using DCC and the BFY. 9 Z Bend modules using DC.
To clarify, the modules to the right of Loren's tee in order were built by Jason Alles (CZM), Donny Beck (CZM), 2 by Dr John Lundy (CZM) and of course Lindley's end module (ZoCal). JC
David, You should know the X just below Jeff Merrill's end module was mine, not just another ZoCal group module. Tsk Tsk, no pie for you. -James
Just one note. The BOYZ were actually a bunch of boyZ, with BYOZ (Bring Your Own Z) presentations :0)
James, This was what I was sent to check out who's module was who's. Robert's domino and timesaver modules are in reverse order too. The colored parts are asking questions from Jeff M. and I imagine this was sent to several people to check. And Jeff knows that is your quad module.
Thanks for the clarification David. I hope the proofreaders do a good job. I *guess* you can have some pie now, but only only a small piece. I want you to still fit in your Smart car.:tb-biggrin: James
Actually, here is the correct track plan: (Mostly the SOZME, CZM and NWZS guys): Or viewable here: http://bayareazmodules.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1167&g2_imageViewsIndex=1 Jeff 'Module Man' .
