That's the highest level of scratchbuilding, forget about all the diesel stuff! What a beauty, looking forward to the whole loco incl. tender
Very nice job Dave! I think we all wish we had the patience and skill to pull something like this off...but being able to watch it happen is almost as rewarding. My only objection is that it's not in SP markings :0) What are you going to pull with it? Joe MTL
Man I don't know what to say... She turned out much better than I pictured it. Even the loco by itself is massive! You need to pose a little Z scale figure looking up. Next time I make up parts I'm shipping them your way for assembly : )~
david f. said: "there is a long wire connected coming out the cab which joins the electrified pickup of the tender with the pickups of the locomotive. still, there must be a better way to do that." David, First of all, excellent work. The loc is beautifil. Second, a prototype steam loc had plenty of hoses and cables connecting the loc to the tender. Maybe you can disguise the wires as air hoses for the brakes. They were fairly sizeable. Any chance you could post photos of the electrical pick ups on your tender? Thanks. Dan S.
David a true masterpiece! What is so awsome is you have the only one! You, Chris and Dan surely to some skills!
