Hello Friends I think it's time to show the incredible work from Álvaro Cortes on my website. Álvaro made so far 3 different Cars for me and you can see the whole progress of scratchbuilding if you follow this link: http://www.rosetown.ch/News/news.htm I'm very happy that he still find the time to work on some more incredible projects for me. This man is truly an Artist!
thanks for sharing, jurg. his process seems simple enough, but it takes a steady hand to do such fine work. it was good to see the work progress. congratulations on your scenic cruiser! dave f.
I lived in Hollywood for awhile back in the 1980s, that bus shot in front of the Las Palmas brings back some interesting memories... LOL. Great shot! John http://www.ztrains.com
Jurg, That is some intense work to make the bus, Wonder what he can create if he had a laser cutter. Kim
Alvaro is the MAN! I have to say, probably no vehicle Alvaro can't reproduce in Z scale! He is Good! Hobo Tim
Jurg, Max-5 is a race car from cartoon show. It was from a show call Speed Racer. Its my all time favorite show. I still watch it, and collect the cars from the show.
the last communication i got said they would be finished to be mailed about Feb. 28. i know they are trying to repair the defect in the first run (the thin collapsing door sides). maybe once they get the bugs worked out a whole succession of welcome and wanted vehicles will be the reward. maybe. until then, the enthusiasm for the car and its club promises have begun to get crusty and stale. i know it can be a tough business supplying the demands and expectation of the new Z generation of modelers -- but they made the promises, so the ball is definately in their court. dave f.
Joe, I have one of the Belairs. Its painted by Searail. I will take a picture of it when I get home. MK4D also has 70's style cars. He has a Chevette, and a Ambassador. I ordered both of them. In addition, I ordered some of the modern reefers. His stuff is top shelf.
AKL and I will meet you at the airport. We aren't too far from it. Flights from SFO are better. Seriously, we have the Ambassadors and Chevettes available and if sales of these go well there will be other models to follow. We will probably stick to autos from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
