An old one from the files. A kit bashed Texas & New Orleans P-14 Pacific built from a Con Cor Hudson. The prototype were re-built from P-6 Pacifics transferred from the SP Pacific Lines in 1937. New disk drivers, streamlining and modifications to increase the boiler pressure were added to ready the three locomotive to pull the re-equipped heavyweight Sunbeam between Dallas and Houston. The new lightweight streamlined cars were delivered in the new SP Daylight paint scheme so the locomotives were painted to match. Old heavyweight Baggage-RPOs were also painted to match the new train sets.
In my world the SP is experimenting with running commuter trains between Santa Barbara and Burbank. So, extra 4806 is leading the charge. Thanks, Wolf
Finished up taxes over last weekend, along with taking the finished product up to Michigan over the weekend for my in-laws. So, I did not get much done this week, a lot of stuff in half finished condition, therefore an old picture from the archives. Bowser C-430's with a Flexivan Train on the mainline of the Strongsville Model Railroad Club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
An Union Pacific combine bringing up the markers on a mixed train as it pauses at East Hannah Vista depot one evening in 1962. John
A recent weathering project on an Accurail reefer. Still need to work some details (trucks/couplers not weathered for example). First two images from the photo booth while the third on the layout at a siding.
A few of my buddies will hook up the beginning of May for some operating action in Corona/ Riverside so fingers crossed I have some fresh ammo soon.
Spring is finally here and the guys are busy with their lawns and stuff. They will be back on the forum when they get tired and go back to their layouts. In my town, Hokum, has added a new theater in my industrial area and the Catholic church is planning a protest. But it's all in fun. Pictures next weekend.
Thank you Candy for the kind comment! And congratulations everyone for the great scenes/pictures once more!
When I was learning about how computers work I learned the difference between a RAM and a ROM. I was thinking of how ROM ( Read Only Memory ) applied to a lot of members of this forum. Only ROM would stand for ( Read Only Members ) Come on guys! You have something you are proud of. Snap a picture and let us see it. Post it here starting next Friday. It's easy ! I'll be waiting for you.
I really like your adaptation of "ROM". From too many long years at this, sadly, the vast majority of members just sit back. Never contribute, but expect someone else will entertain them. To use a word from my long ago, bummer.
