I too fell prey to the recent discounts! I wanted to buy so much more, as is this was too much. Currently running in the Dutch livery Class 37...wow...so good looking and is smooth and quiet. So far, so good! The Class 55 is gorgeous. Haven't run it in, but can't wait. The Bachmann NW2s below are all slightly older purchases. DCC fitted, they are going to be a part of my first step into repainting. I've had decals of a local switching company made. The local company has three 1939 former Navy NW2s in service. The Southern Switching Company. I plan to do a wacky split-scene where about 1/3 or 1/4 of the layout will be a modern local scene, and then I want to segue the rest of layout into a British Countryside scene, heavily employing Rule 1. Since I didn't grow up in the UK, but am simply fascinated with it, I decided to run what looks cool on a given day.

Just got a Kato 4 car UP passenger add on, Set A: RPO, coach, diner and observation. To add a bit more to the UP excursion set. As well as a single dome. Thinking of going after another 4 car add on set: baggage, dome, dome, observation. Can use everything, but the observation cars! Got second chance, on the single dome car! Original winner may not have been able to complete. Should be interesting to see combined train, eventually! Should look good, even if on display more often than not!
Got a Spectrum "N" GE 70 diesel Loco (DCC) a month ago and put it on a shelf the same day I got it. Runs fine but hesitates over switches on main but won't stay powered through my Atlas switches in the yard. Spose to be all wheel pickup like the one it was replacing. Have no idea how to make it work at this time so will leave it on the shelf.
Latest additions Atlas S2 DCC sound Atlas model to go with growing Railbox collection Vern's Logger addition to the Lumber Mill
There were tons of small operators, everywhere. Some just one truck. Some a few. I recall a company, can't think of their name, which had trucks similar to Weyco. They were out of Grays Harbor, and had a large batch of trucks. I even had a matchbook cover at one time. Highway 101 around the Peninsula was a race track of logging trucks. The Snoqualmie Valley, etc, etc.
We still have them up here in the high country of Arizona. Not a day goes by that you dont see at least one zooming thru town.
Picked up the second Atlas new release Railbox #36163, Micro-Trains 50' Rib Side Box Car with Double Doors and No Roofwalk, NASA Series Car #6 (need to attach the door guide/wheels) and the order that I thought was cancelled~~~John Zwergel Kenworth K100, Vern Henderson 351 Logger. That other stuff is just in the pic, workbench area I'll get to some day
