Im new to this !!! haha so please help !

I have laid two pieces of flex track on a board. One I want to use for programming, and the other for testing. I have hooked all the wires to my zephyr and it will run trains on the testing track no problem, and it will program the OPS no problem.

Now when I put a loco on the programming track... its giving me an error..."d nd" ??? I looked it up in the manual, it says something about the track being open, or something?? But I have rail A and rail B hooked up to one peice of flex, then Prog A and Prog B hooked to another !!! Judging by what I see in the manual, I have everything hooked up properly ?
    Any help would be apreciated

What brand is the locomotive/decoder? I have seen this problem with Bachmann decoders and can be resolved with a resistor across the rails. There is a good description and picture on the Bachmann forums at the end of this link: http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/topic,15183.0.html

I have the Zephyr xtra and
there is a resistor in the bag with the LT1 loconet cable and decoder test kit.

    good luck

Before panicking, try programming with "Page" or "Direct" mode. "Ops" mode will only go to your test track, the other two will go to the programming track.

Make sure you have prog A and prog B wired to your program track. They are not located next to each on the back of the unit like the rail a and rail b are (I had this problem at first). Use the Direct mode for your program track.

    Just my 2 cents.
