Wow! I've seen the photo before, but never in this large a format. I just noticed the tensioning stringers on the truss portion of the trestle. Amazing!

Yes, that is one of the project I would love to start to build. But I guess I should finish my last Zmod-module first. It's only ground work that remains, all other things are finished. I guess it would olnly takes a feew events to complete, if I got the spirit. :)
This picture is from 14. april 2005, and it's still in the same condition: :-(

This summer I have been in Tehachapi, and have seen the place i real for the first time. Great.
My wife and me were happy to be 4 weeks on the westcoast, in California, Nevada and Arizona. Great inspiration to restart my work in modelrailroading.

    Some action from Tehachapi:

I'll have to take your word for it, John. ;-)

The site where Svein-Martin posted the photo must be blocked here at work. On my screen, his message says "here's a shot...", there's a blank line, then his signature begins (not even a "broken image link" symbol where the photo should be). I'll look again tonight and find out what I am missing!

    Link to my photo

Hm, I don't know why you can't see the image, but you can try this direct link:

Blocked at work, fine at home

As I surmised, your photo host is blocked at my worksite (I'm assuming it's remotely possible to post *those* kinds of pictures - whatever threat that may represent).

Now I know for myself: great photo!

Nice pictures guys! I was looking over pictures in my albums, and came across this night time shot that came out ok, on my hidden palms end module:

Svein-Martin, great picture! :D I am glad you brought this old thread back! I lost the original picture when trainboard changed the format, and I never realized that my original picture was lost. So I fixed it! Thanks! :D

Good night Robert...that is INCREDIBLE. Was that a kit? Don't even tell me you scratch built that building. I'm just amazed at your work.

That's the Rabbit Hash General Store kit propped up on round toothpicks with Samtrees Palms and Alvaro's cars out front, and the Miller Engineering Gulf Gas Station kit down the road with Kim Vellore's EL panel Gulf sign. :D

    I got the 7022 - Washington/Mexican/Califonia Palm in 1:200, 1:300, and 1:500 scale sizes.

It looks like the 1:500 scale is the same height as the 1:200 scale, just with a smaller spread? Is that right?

I think the wire is thinner too, but the height is really just how deep you plant them.

Yes! of course...planting deeper = shorter.
