The year 2004 continues to take it's toll of greats in the railroad preservation, railfan, and RR modeling hobbies. Jack Anderson, formerly of the Mount Rainier Scenic, and late of the Nevada Northern, has passed on. This says a lot about him... During his tenure of over 20 years, Jack brought back to life nearly a dozen steam locomotives, including several of our unique geared logging engines. Thanks to Jack, Mt Rainier Scenic RR was able to operate a Shay, Heisler and Climax all together on one train at numerous events.
