    The year 2004 continues to take it's toll of greats in the railroad preservation, railfan, and RR modeling hobbies. Jack Anderson, formerly of the Mount Rainier Scenic, and late of the Nevada Northern, has passed on.

    Jack would also consult with other organizations that needed a helping hand. Which is how I came into contact with him nearly twenty years ago. No BS about it. He knew what he was doing!

    This says a lot about him...


    During his tenure of over 20 years, Jack brought back to life nearly a dozen steam locomotives, including several of our unique geared logging engines. Thanks to Jack, Mt
    Rainier Scenic RR was able to operate a Shay, Heisler and Climax all together on one train at numerous events.
    No other railway preservation group has yet achieved that goal.
