My layout has a brewery theme and I'm collecting all of the Micro-brewery cars from Aztec. However, I have designed some artwork for my own fictitious micro-brewery (Ratcals Red Ale...You Need It Because You're Weak). It has a pretty stylin' picture of a vicious looking rat holding a yard of ale. Email me and I'll send the file if you're interested, its a PowerPoint file. It may be sometime before my webpage is finished (where does one find the time). I'm just having a hard time getting it onto decal paper. I read about the Alps printer in MR a few months ago. Unfortunately I had already replaced my printer with one that was not decal paper friendly. Any suggestions? ---------- Mark
I have the same problem with decal printing, Ratcal. And as my printer is new, I cannot justify the expense of an Alps - yet! Those of you that know me have seen my M.A.T. private name railroad website or visited me here in Georgetown. The M.A.T. stands for Maberly and Tayside. My steam locos are all M.A.T. I am now working on heavy weight passenger cars. I too have had problems finding lettering decals or the old rub on lettering that stationery stores used to sell. So far, I have not designed freight car graphics. That comes next. My colour schemes are pretty blah but my objective is to keep this railroad solvent. I will let you know when I have a freight car ready. Robin http://members.xoom.com/Matthyro/index.html
