The Weyerhaeuser Company has a logging railroad in Longview Wn. Rough cut lumber from the mill at Green Mountain is hauled to the planers in the mill at Longview.

My parents and I, plus a friend of my dad's, took a ride on the Weyerhaeuser, some years ago, around 1981, I think. I don't have any really clear memories of it, except for the fact that it was late at night, and I sat on my mother's lap because there were not enough seats for everyone in that switcher. It is, however, one of the few times I've ever gotten a cab ride, thus is notable for that rare event. I wonder if the Weyerhaeuser still allows railfans to ride. I'm guessing not, since rules have probably tightened up since that time.
