Wiring a Folding Shelf Layout

    We are building a folding shelf layout based on M.C. Fujiwara's Alameda-Belt-in-a-Box (AKA "Summer Shunting Shelf Project"). All DC, no blocks. We plan to use a 9V battery throttle, but I will install connectors to allow a regular power pack.

    It's about five feet long and one foot wide. We have laid Peco code 55 rail with three turnouts. Now we are ready to wire it. (followed, of course, with scenery.)

    Will this be an urban scene? It's been a while, but I seem to recall you were modeling around the Civil War era? Will this also be from earlier decades?

    The plan (today) is mostly rural, pre-Civil War. Couple buildings, maybe a small passenger/freight station.
