I got the word on them. No, I did not get any pics. The east bound leaves Roper at night. and the west bound comes in the evening. Just about have to head to Helper to get any. Don't get out much in the summer. Just too darn hot to run around in a non-A/C truck. Wait until next month. I will be out in full force . ------------------ Jim Harrawood Utah Rails D&RGW---Main Line Thru The Rockies
I look forward to you posting your pictures Jim ------------------ http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
The "zip" trains come through "Junction" in the daylight hours. I can't believe I missed the winged SD70s running thru here-AAUUGGHH! Bet they looked nice............ ------------------ Ship IT on the Frisco! Bob T. http://hometown.aol.com/slsf1630/myhomepage/profile.html
I feel the same way, but once that order is filled for those units i think they'll soon become passe...
Well, it finally had to happen! I was helping my model RR club transport our HO and N scale modules to our new club building (which we recently got the OK from the building inspector to move into), and was heading along I-70 Business Loop here in town, when I spot the Z-DVRO sitting at East Yard, headed up by SD70M 4012 and 4152 (wild guess on numbers). That lightning stripe job with the gray looks nice! They were waiting for the E/B Beansniff freight to move through, and that train was running on the yellow blocks of a recently departed coal train, with 6 units, all GE ACss, and 3 in DPU mode. It's nice to see UP bring back the winged logo......need to thin up the white outline, but otherwise it's all right. ------------------ Ship IT on the Frisco! Your not the only one who has not seen one. That will change in a couple of weeks, I hope . ------------------ Jim Harrawood #85 Utah Rails D&RGW---Main Line Thru The Rockies
