I have a subscription to Model Railroader, and buy Railpace on occasion.

Model Railroader, Trains, N Scale. I have been reading MR and Trains since the early 1950's and N Scale since it got on its feet. ;)

I kept a few Model Railroaders. I think from along about 1939 to 1997 when I finally gave up on them. Railroad Model Craftsman I still subscribe to but by the time the subscription runs out, I hope to have the layout running so wont need it any more. I'll be running all day long! My wife asks "How could you stand to just run trains all day?" No point in trying to explain to her. :D

MR every month. I can't help it. All those pretty pictures and I am really liking what Koester is doing these days - his column is the first thing I read.

Trains, RMC and Railmodel Journal when there is an article of interest.

But by far the BEST magazine is 'the SOO' (the Soo Line Historical and Technical Society quarterly magazine) If you are not a member of an historical society I can't say how great a source of information the historical society publications are. Even if you freelance I'm sure your freelancing is at least loosely based on some real railroad somewhere - if they have a historical society - join it! :D

    Dave,
I am puzzled with your unique selection of model railroad magazine selection. Perhaps we should be turning to you as an expert on how to model grass, design a parking lot, or creating our "link" on the model layout. LOL!!!

I get TRAINS and Model Railroader, by subscription. I also will pick up a Railfan and Railroad and an RMC, on occassion. I have been thinking of dropping Model Railroader in favor of RMC, but MR's Lou Sassi just did a photo shoot of my club's layout. ;) So I am thinking of waiting until I get that issue then maybe drop it.

As for coverage of my favorite road. It would have to be the N&WHS publication The Arrow.

I buy Model Railroader and Trains magazine and i borrow all of GATS magazines when he lets me lol. Actually the price of MR and Trains has doubled in the past 2 years so i'm considering dropping Trains especially when i can read there online mag for free. One thing though is a claim a tax deduction for trains magazine because I consider it as industry information so I can use it as reference material hehehe
