The CEE Line has just placed an order/reservation for some of the new B23-7,s. The CEE Line is now in the process of upgrading all locos to DCC and replacing the older motive power that can not be upgraded.

At one time I had a concept for a railroad between Paris and Mt. Pleasant, TX, based on the real Paris & Mt. Pleasant RR, that ran from 1910 to 1956. In my world, the P&MtP never quit, but was bought out by other Paris
area businessmen, and also built a branch from Deport, TX to Valliant, OK, tapping into the TO&E and Kiamichi there, and allowing for movement of sand, gravel, lumber, and paper. This would have been operated as the Oklahoma, Red River and Texas
(a name for a railroad that ran from Deport north to Blossom, TX from 1910 to 1912).
For motive power, the P&MtP had two chop-
    nosed GP7Us, 1836 and 1845, while the OR&T
used GP7U 1889 (ex-Santa Fe, with angled cab
and in black) and GP20M 1907. In the wings were two CF7s last used on the Southeast
Kansas, and to be used on the ex-Cotton Belt from Mt. Pleasant west to Greenville, TX. As
with RailTex, the motive power is interchang-
    able.
I've got the engines in storage, and run them on occasion on the club layout.
The colors are maroon with yellow striping, handrails and lettering. The 1889 is black & yellow (kinda looks like a Frisco
    Geep, too [IMG] ).
Never know- the "Pa and Ma" may rise up & take over my layout..... [IMG]

Besides my O&NE power, I have a stable of Frisco diesels, plus a couple of UP six-axles
for the runthrough. I'm in the market to get a GP15-1 or two for local or switching power,
and hopefully I'll get Stewart's VO1000 by summer.
ANd for grins & giggles, I have two locomotives painted for Texas Northwestern,
(circa mid-1980s, both locos on their roster at that time), some for Kiamichi, and other freelance power for the Paris & Mt. Pleasant, a railroad that ran from 1911 to 1956, but a "what-if" scenario assuming the Pa & Ma ran beyond 1956 to today.

Currently the SFSW has three very old Bachman F-7 units, an Atlas RS-1, and a 4-6-0. Why...well mainly because its what I had left over from an N scale layout years ago. Will the SFSW upgrade quality etc.? You bet!! The layout is set in the mid 50's so there can be some steam, F units and early GPs. I hope to have a premier Santa Fe Chief that runs through the layout once per session ( and possibly one of the Rio Grande passenger consists as well). These will serve to connect the pike to "the rest of the world" but the real work will be done by local passenger and freights, moving between towns and industrial areas (mainly coal mines, and oil fields, with some local business thrown in). Happy Modeling!!
