Lajos, If that's NOT modeling, then I don't know what is. That's not only modeling, it's excellent modeling, with a little dose of Z promotion in it as well. :teeth: I love it!
Hoppers, hoppers, hoppers... I got a couple sets of hopper parts cast up today... Some 2-bay and 3-bays.
Looking Good Wow Eric, these look like they will br top quality. Can't wait for them to be released. Give us an guestimation on release date.
Harold, My guessimation is within the month. At least for a few road names, such as BNSF wedge, NS, and ACFX. Shamoo737, Shipping out Monday morning!!
They looks good Eric, please go ahead. One more thing I want to ask. Your last few entries in Ebay always mention that foreigner can not bit on them and you ship only to US. Can you tell my why?
Jurg, We have now opened up shipping to Europe, as well as Canada and USA. The reason why we halted shipping to Europe for a while, is that the shipping calculators don't work that well via paypal/ebay. We had taken a beating on under quoting shipping costs. But since we have figured out a suitable solution. We are also offering finished models on our website, with shipping to Europe. Stock comes and goes, so check back often. And as always, kits are always available on our website. Kind Regards,
Lajos, is that a stocl length Euro passenger? I don't remember those types as short. Are the old style green ones shorter? Very interesting. Can't wait to see it at a show. .
No, the car became the victim of some quick chopping board action. Unfortunately the two axle cars couldn't negotiate this very small (3 1/2") radius. I saved one of the warped old TEE cars for something or anything, so the warped portion ended up in the trash, the rest made it as a "shorty". I had to add an extra roof "bump" to hold the thing together, it's still OK as a result of a 30 minutes surgery. The most important note, the car was flawlessly rolling thru those tight turns. Lajos
Hi Gerd, You can order internationally through our website, and we will add Australia to our next ebay auctions... Thank you!
Another "what was on my workbench" A couple of weeks ago I've built an ET194 Deutsche Reichsbahn electric freight railcar. This was equipped with a TCS M1 DCC decoder. My previous ET194 DCC attempts were not really successful (actually they were failures), because of the uneven weight distribution within the chassis and a few unreliable electric contacts. This one became a nice runner. The gray box below the decoder was filled with tungsten powder and lead up to the weight needed to balance the chassis, also, there is no solderless electric connection. This was a fun project, I don't think too many other railcars will follow. I just enjoy model making, again. Lajos
3-Bay Hoppers Got some 3-bay hoppers finished today, just need decals, which I am still working on. I am also CNC'ing up another top version with elongated hatches, as they are the most common. I should have a list of road names shortly. Anyone with suggestions on roadnames for the 2-bay or 3-bay, feel free to email hopper@edmodel.com. Kind Regards,
Lajos that is some top notch stuff. I am always amazed by your work! Eric, I know you are showing that hopper off, but I have to say I really like that track work and ballast job under it. Very nice!
