    K4

    Tim,
The K4 (especially the streamlined K4) was strictly a passenger loc. As a general rule (mostly in diesels) Tuscan meant passenger and Dark Locomotive Enamel (dark dark green) was freight. But there were exceptions. I don't really know much about the streamlines, other than both schemes existed. I don't even know how many streamlines were built.
    Dan S.

P.S.- my personal preference is the dark green.

    From an Overpass

Spotted this new 53' Schneider National trailer on a Triple 53' Long Runner and snapped this shot from an Overpass. :)

Here is another shot of the trailer from the back.

Nice work on the trailer Tim. Are you using MMM wheels? Also, I like the nice post detail. Tim, put it in production.

More houses and other small structures are slowly being added to my newest town on the NERR modules.

Tim can you show me some pictures of the front of the K-4. I am working on one right now and having some difficulty getting the body to sit down on the front. Also is the screw hole on top fitting into the original marklin hole or was a new one drilled?

This is a PennZee kit, I think it is still available. Unfortunately the directions offer no pictures to see exactly how it fits.

JD, from what Bob told me years ago, the placement of the hole depends on the chassis. The placement is different for the North American chassis and the German version. Both work, but one requires a new hole in the white metal shell.

I figured with the laser cut distress marks it would only be right to make it look a tad ran down, plus it's a junkyard! Usually I like to cut up kits and make them my own, but I like this one just how it is. To give it a faded look a rubbed it down with Rotten Stone and Dullcoted:

Still a lot more to do, this kit is packed with everything you need.

If you guys are working on more kits, hows about a large(ish)factory sort of like this:

I built it in N scale based off of this HO building flat:

Chris that Nails Brother Kit looks stunning! Torsja and I will use this Kit on our ZMOD Module too, so stay tuned :)
BTW the large Forley Factory would be a great addition to our scale. C'mon guys let the Laser burn!

Chris, too tall for me but, one could make a floor by floor version (extra floor walls) with an exterior "band" to cover the seam. Or, a 2 story version with an add on third floor using the same technique. Or, just now thinking, cut off the unused floors :)

Chriss, I like your idea. I been begging for some warehouse/ industrie for a while. I also like the extra height. The extra height can be used as a layout divider.

Chris, I got mine in the mail today. How did you get that decal to look so blended into the wood?
