What an an excellent job you have done on the building. The ladder and roof details add greatly to what you have done, since I last scene it. You are the Master Builder of Fast food restaurants! You are in a league of your own! The McDonald brothers would be proud!

The signage is brilliant. I don't remember ever seeing the arches logo over the front before. In fact the other white lettering I don't recall ever seeing, either. It is not only a little gem of a building but a history lesson on McDee's evolution. It can easily be updated to the 70's with 3-D printed Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, etc...in a play lot next door. What is the green light? Jim

    Rob,
Very cool! The green light in the kitchen, the roof texture, the ladder, utility meters, roof systems, the glow, just very cool!

So I chose to build the 1955 version when Mr Krok went behind the McDonalds brothers backs and launches a Franchise campaign selling the "Speedy Service" "Coast to Coast". The green light is my own addition, as I like to spice my models up for fun. That's my version of Modelers License.

That sign is still around a few locations:

And the building uses the 1955 logo:

    Some had ladders:

And painted white. Note the crossbucks are on round posts and everything else is on square posts:

If you make MP signs or flanger signs, those were NP standard made out of boiler flues from scrapped steam engines.

    ;)
BNSF buddy of mine who's MoW up on Stampede, says he sees them in the ditches alot .

That's good to know, I will probably make all kinds of signs, since signs are everywhere in the real world, and way under-represented in models except on buildings. People do put lots of signs on buildings.

5BF65727-B83B-41FE-AAF0-52B0340D75D0.jpeg Received my new Micro Make Doctor Dry Booth today. It should cut the drying time of painted items in half! Fits nicely on top of my little refrigerator.

Rob Adjusting the Shelf Height on the Dr Dry Booth can be a real pain. Get your self some Ring Magnets 1/4 od x 1/8 id x 1/2 tall
Search for "Ring Magnet R428" Then search for "1/8 Shaft 2100-0125-0100"
Epoxy the shaft 1/2 way through the magnet. After the Epoxy dries just stick it in through what ever hole you want on the sides and place the shelf on top The magnet will keep it from falling out and with the shafts in the holes there is no way it can slip. I'll post some pictures of mine when i get home tonight .

Here are the pictures of my magnetic shelf adjustors for the Dr Dry Booth.

The shelf edge and the magnets are rust free its just the reflection of the boards being stored behind them.

Layout progress has stalled thanks to the purchase of a 3D printer. Having been inspired by the wonderful vehicles from Carlos Pinto I decided to give it a try. I've got a couple of tractors and a Z scale beer can tank cars just about complete, as well as a few trailers. It's been a fun distraction, but definitely a huge time black hole!
