Except for the skirts, that's a dead ringer for Wabash #1601 as well.
Here's hoping it comes out OK and Mike wants to sell some.

The Nebraska Zephyr would be nice. With add on cars could do the Twin Zephyr, with shovel nosed power car or use the E5. Would not have to go far to measure and photograph.

It's hard to imagine Kato with their love of the West doing anything other than ATSF #3751 next.

But you're talking a bunch of new tooling that couldn't be used for anything else - extremely limited possibilities there. Those articulated cars will kill you.

I would love to see Kato do a San Joaquin Daylight with either a P-10 4-6-2 or a Mt-4 4-8-2 in 1/2 daylight colors. They can repurpose some of their daylight cars they already have.

Another I would like to see is the 20th Century Limited, or a PRR T-1 Duplex for their already existing broadway limited....the next should be an iconic steamer for sure.

There will not be another 'class' of steam engine for several years even if the FEF is very successful.

Kato will re-run the FEF in Grey/white (Greyhound) with an appropriate consist. I would expect that announcement by the Amherst Show.

Expect more re-treads of the existing tooling from Kato. I would like to see them at least attempt to do a Colorado Eagle version of the PA with an appropriate consist. I am losing faith in Kato doing an appropriate NCL or Empire Builder.

It's possible Kato is looking into doing E5B and running an appropriate CBQ consist with an A/B set. Things could change dramatically if Kato decides to add E6/E7 units in their existing E8/9 line of streamliner power.

Whatever it is it possibly be either From the 1930's-1970's ...hopefully it will be 1930's-1960s and not a BORG conglomerate rail line NS, up,mp,sp,rgw , cr, cn,cp etc.

With the Hickory Creek having recently been restored and now gliding the rails of North America again, maybe that will help peak the interest in the 20th Century. I have been fortunate to be able to ride on its sister the Sandy Creek.

I'd love to see Kato do an old heavyweight consist like the Overland Limited or something similar.

This would be an interesting consist, perhaps including a couple UP or PRR sleepers. The Overland was often headed by an AC cab forward over the mountains, I doubt they would build another AC for the market.

    Another Fantasy:
Baltimore and Ohio blue / gold to go with my 'sharks'.
    I can dream.

Hey... the Sandy Creek is definitely no slacker either... now that it has been transformed from its American Oriental Express visage into a new classic...

That makes me think of how neat a complete NS OCS would be! I totally agree with the the idea of a whole heavyweight train, not sure which road would be chosen though. I'd really like for Kato to do a train with an E7 or E6 so those could be added to the list of cab units they have.

I still think 'The Train of Tomorrow' would be good. Not only a icon but it looks pretty too!

Perfect for Kato since they could also make a version repainted in UP colors.

I think what is needed from Kato is commuter passenger cars. I'm thinking SEPTA, NJ Transit, Metro and ect. The comet/horizon fleet commuter cars

    peace be with you,

How about a Southern Belle. Could use Fs instead of DL 109s.

How about either a DL&W or Erie Lackawanna Phoebe Snow?
Would be a mix of streamlined and heavyweights, and I'm not really particular about how accurate the window patterns/trucks are, as are some of you rivet counters!!!
The E8's, freight pilot and no dynamic brakes, with double headlights ala DL&W, or single headlight per former Erie units, if EL.....would look sharp, esp with those portholes edged in yellow!!

I have said before and will says it again. The North Coast Limited! Kato won't do it though.....I have already asked.

Second choice, MILW Olympia Hiawatha with the Super Domes. Again.....I asked Kato and was shot down.
