I stopped by my buddy Chuck's shop to pick up a couple of things that I ordered. First is a BLMA Sacramento Northern 52' gondola: 003 by WPZephyrFan posted Jul 9, 2016 at 5:56 PM I also got the Southern Pacific version: 004 by WPZephyrFan posted Jul 9, 2016 at 5:54 PM While I was, as usually happens when I go visit Chuck, I find other goodies that I'll find. Here's a nice Wheels of Time Southern Pacific bulkhead flat car: 007 by WPZephyrFan posted Jul 9, 2016 at 5:53 PM
I finally got my hands on a brass N8 cabin car... and another Bowser N5b that cost a heap less. Couldn't resist (more like didn't try).
I got this Atlas Missouri Pacific GP38-2 in the mail Saturday from BLW: 009 by WPZephyrFan posted Jul 9, 2016 at 5:52 PM There's a photo in one of my WP books of post UP merger Chico local being pulled by a MP Geep, and it gave me an excuse to buy a MP loco.
I forgot to add the cool TrainWorx Peterbuilt tractor and FedEx 53' trailer that I found at Chuck's. And it's in all the backgrounds. 001 by WPZephyrFan posted Jul 10, 2016 at 10:20 AM
I also purchased a BLI ATSF water tower. Have just the place for it in the 18 foot switching yard on my layout. Staying cool and having fun with it..... Shades
The Kato TGV Duplex. They made one in a different color a few years back, and they cost an arm and a leg, if you could even find them. But thankfully they made a new run and it only cost an arm!
Just got the MT ATSF Slogan/Map set. These are nicer than expected. I had thought they were just a reissue of the 1972 series. But no, these are the beautiful black roof cars. Very pleased. Oh, I meant to add, these remind me of the beautiful George Hollwedel Secial Run cars.
Six Rapido Osgood Bradley Hunter green NH coaches as well as six Pullman green NH coaches. I already have a fleet of Rapido SP passenger cars. These cars have superb details. Staying cool and having fun with it...... Shades
No need to feel sheepish. Some HO items - particularly those from Kadee - occasionally find their way home with me. This one was hard to resist: http://www.kadee.com/ca/50ps1/jpg/6382l.jpg This one may soon join it: http://www.kadee.com/ca/50ps1/jpg/6384l.jpg It gets justified as a form of advance planning for the day when my eyesight starts to deteriorate.
No sympathy for trying to support a company that still makes it products - Horribly Oversized though they may be - in White City, Oregon U.S.A.?
I managed to win this guy on "that site" for $50. Looks like it's brand new, from the latest U25B run no less!
