you get some funny looks at the grocery measuring the bottoms of all the clear plastic peanut butter jars because Skippy is $3.89 and 3" OD acrylic tubing is most definitely not.
Some MTL rolling stock, 2x FVM GEVOs, some decoders for other locos, and a double wide mobile home. I’ve collected enough of those Nucomp trailers I might start looking at making an N-track module or something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol metra... I just got in a few things with that same BN hopper. Latest from MTL including the family tree series seaboard car and first/only cattle cars so far for my Z scale collection. 3 more weathered tank cars, last of "year of railbox" series 1 cars I've been awaiting and an open tri-level autorack.
The just released Rapido "New look" bus arrived. Originally I was not going to get one then I figured it would look great on my coffee table layout and being lit was definitely a bonus.
The postman finally delivered this after a long odyssey.. Shipped on 5/19 and I got it on the 31st via Priority Mail? Debating on if I will correct the brake wheel position to the rebuilt side mount brake wheel. They are gorgeous the way they are. A nice addition to my "Pork Belly Special". NOTE for some reason keeps loading the images upside down
Postal human delivered these today Reefer & brake details to replace parts that have gone missing. Coaches to be repainted for the Victoria & Vancouver Railway, although Moose awfully tempted to leave the Canadian Pacific horse car as is since both railways were Canadian.
I often have to Edit my images on my cell phone to get the image to look right. I have no idea why as they usually look right on the phone, but DO NOT upload correctly?
Received a ConCor corrugated side passenger coach in PRR livery from Ebay. Only need one more to fill out my sixteen car train. I replace the couplers with Unimate medium "T" shank truck mounted couplers. Draws them up nice and close, much closer than any body mount could do. I remove the black "diaphragms" that come with the car. Not needed as the cars are practically touching as it is. Still able to negotiate Ntrak curves. Not sure about 9 3/4 radii but do okay on Kato Unitrack. Does anyone know if ConCor made an Observation car to go with these? Right now I'm using an old Model Power car as a stand in. Also got some crossties from Fast Tracks, both the regular wood ones as well as the PC Board ones for a project I am doing in an attempt to shorten the time consuming task of adding joiner tracks to an Ntrak layout. The goal is to shorten the set up time to less than 1/3 of the time it usually takes.
Returned from a week away to find this waiting in the mail: Purchased from a TrainBoard member. Sadly, I will have to wait a few weeks before I get a chance to run it. Been hesitating over buying one and this was offered at an attractive price, so I made the decision. Stay safe,
I wanted to check out some of these North American Railcar Corp 5077 Cu Ft boxcars. Nicely done. The Intermountain version was my favorite until these which have finer details including more prototypical stirrups. Lot's of applied parts including door plates and such.
The NS 40th Anniversary car and a cool coffee mug where waiting for me when I got home last night. Started my Sunday morning off checking out the new boxcar and enjoying some coffee in the new mug.
Con-Cor produced a smooth side Observation, but I'm pretty sure it was an NYC 20th Century Limited prototype. Atlas (Rivarossi) made a smooth side PRR prototype Obs in the late '60s or early '70s that is nice; thinking that the PRR's Mountain View/Tower View was the prototype. A PRR sleeper and RPO were also made in the same series by Rivarossi.
Post human delivered these today. The reefer will be painted for a regional farm's crops, bwaaa! (Insert evil moose laugh here). The hoppers will be repainted for the regional mining company.
2x Intermountain CEFX SD40-2 from a fellow here on TB (because you can put leased power can go with anything) Metra decals for some coaches and a GP40 that I’m going to try to turn into a GP23 (or a close enough foobie) (because one day I’m going to have space to create the Metra Coach yard in Antioch, IL and maybe even something like Metra’s Western Ave coach yard so I’ve got to have the MOW and yard power represented) 3x Red Caboose KCS centerbeams (because I like weathering centerbeams) 3x MTL KCS weathered boxcars (because they looked great) 1x MTL weathered tank car (because I really like tank cars) 5x MTL 2-bay hoppers in various road names (going to build a frac sand consist) 1x SP 3-bay hopper to round out the train full of UP hoppers I worked on over the last month (because I liked how it looked) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did you check spookshow.net? He lists three different series of corrugated passenger cars distributed by ConCor. Each had an observation. Knowing which series your cars are from might help locate the matching car. Stay safe,

Wife told me to get some stuff for Fathers Day on her behalf... nice! 3 Athearn NP bilevel racks just arrived. The Intermountain/Centralia Car Shops 6-6-4 sleepers cars were somewhat short run. So... in keeping with wife's mandate I hunted down a few of them to get by next week. Santa Fe 6-6-4 two toned grey Cimmaron Valley and Red Rock Valley arrived. Hoping an eBay vendor gets me a couple of Mopac Eagle and SP Golden State versions... fingers crossed.
Purchased the brand new Kato UP E9 A and B units for the City of LA train. They run smooth. They seem to be very popular, particularly the B-Units, so had to purchase from a couple of places. - Tonkphilip
