Just received my Kato SD70ACe, Bush 4141, with ESU Loksound.
Thanks to a tip here,I was able to source one, and get it!
Denver store still closed, and email bounces as undeliverable right now!
Find it interesting, that they were broken into recently!
Homeless person, broke the front doors, just to find a place to stay warm and sleep!
Was found sleeping on a pile of packing peanuts, according to the article I saw!

    My latest.

Just need to insert the coupler trip pins.
Runs as a Kato should! Sounds just as good! To me anyway!

John, I was tempting to buy one at a train show last year and convert it to DCC. The motor is in the first coach so there should be plenty of room.

I have already tested mine on the layout and it runs just fine. No issues navigating my unitrack turnouts. I am now in the process of adding on the the side tanks and extending a fuel bunk out the end of the cab. Also adding a whistle and pops to it plus a bell. All couplers except the front are now Kato replacing the rapidos. The front dummy coupler was to small to be able to use so into my parts box I went for a better dummy coupler. To try and fit a Z scale coupler or a MT requires some serious study and surgery. I have some steam pilots from MT that I just may graft on the front. But for now the larger dummy works just fine. The loco is 20 N scale feet long or about and inch and a half.

Got this in the mail today. This will be part of the small fleet of tanker trucks at the diesel fuel distributor on my layout.

This will be my most complex 3D kit project so far. The detail on this kit is amazing and the surfaces are the smoothest I have seen on a 3D printed item. Lots of small support fingers to carefully cut off and a bit of sanding. I'm just going to take my time and enjoy. I'll post on my progress in the what's on my work bench thread.

I’m in a T-trak club with the guy who makes these. I love how nice his kits are. I don’t have one yet but I did say yet...

So I have found that working from home has a couple of benefits. First my commute is only 50 or so feet. The food is much better the the offerings at the Hospital I work in, and I actually have more money! The last benefit is why I’m posting here today. I finally had some spare change to buy a couple models I have had my eyes on. FB9F983E-1D03-432A-8992-A80759372A43.jpeg DED4116A-E3ED-4017-8B77-72F00992CBA0.jpeg

Funny you mention that we are going to have dinner there tonight. The entrance is on the left in the picture and the exit is at the back of the right side. It’s kinda hard to see in the pics.

I just pulled the plug on a new train set. Kato 10-1512 and 10-1513. These make up the German ICE 4 train. I couldn’t afford the new DCC equipped model so this one will have to do. I can’t wait to get this on the rails... er... imma need more rails, I don’t have anything long enough for this train...

    Pics when it arrives!

Denny's has been around since the late 1950's. The restaurants originally were not uniformly contructed... and later several variations of floor plans were adopted for quick expansion of the brand.

Denny's has been a regular dining spot for me and my family for about 40 years. One of my kids purchased this Kato RTR building for me about 15 years ago. I never placed it on a layout but will probably modify it by removing the base and changing the parking pattern. Kato version is highly 'selectively compressed'.

It’s a favorite place for us to eat as well. There are 2 near me that still use this same building and color scheme. Unfortunately the local Dairy Queen has changed their scheme from the one in my kit to whatever the new scheme is. I like the kit scheme. Now I want an Oreo blizzard...

Since I will be doing pre-1975 versions of buildings... there would be no such thing. I never imagined back I was about 18 years 'young' what a cruel world it was for people with mobility issues. Thank goodness for the ADA.

Wow, this got here quick, purchased Wednesday night (5-27), it shipped from Yokohama Japan at 8am on Thursday (5-28), arrived in Cincinnati at 6am Thursday (5-28) and then just now 1pm Friday (5-1) at my doorstep. That was fast shipping and I didn’t pay for any shipping...

I can’t wait to get it on some rails!!

Here is a video to go with the post above. I set up a couple of my T-Trak modules and then assembled the entire train... This is wayyy long!! My too short for the Empire Builder station and siding wont even hold this train by several feet. I would need to extend my modules by 3 or 4 feet!

    Enjoy

Obviously you have the twelve car set, but a 7-car version was built too. If you need to shorten the train, you could, but I don’t know which cars to take out. The original design was for 10 cars (expanded to 12 by delivery time) and was intended to expand ICE service, but the 7 car set was supposed to replace older locomotive-hauled regional trains.

Just received FA / FB 1 powered set. These complete my fleet of 4-axle Alcos for my Turtle Creek Central !!! Need to round up a few parts and decals, then I'm on my way.
