That's 1800 Broadway, corner Swinney Avenue. Just took a look around at that corner with Street View, and the streets look like Montreal's streets - and that's not a good thing!

Nice building. Almost looks like a movie theatre.

Must have been a busy place. They even added a fourth service bay.

Daaaang, that'd be a nice one to fix up for sure!

Old Texaco pump, and an even older one on the left! I can only imagine some hidden gems in the attic of that!;)

Back in the late 60s when they were still constructing Interstate 45 between Houston and Dallas, I remember driving up US 75 which parallels 45. The only gas card I had was for TEXACO. So it is possible I filled up at this very station. After the interstate was completed, so many of these little town gas stations along 75 just dried up.

The rounded pump on the left would make a nice water cooler or fridge... or both! :)

ENCO, SHELL, GULF, what more could you ask for? Maybe a Popsicle? Stewart Beach Galveston 1970. The year I graduated from High School.

A Humble station on the southeast corner of North Zang and Beckley in Oak Cliff, Texas in late 1930s. This shows the classic old Humble station architecture. The building stood until 2013, when it was torn down. Note the "Humble Man" statue in front of the white pillar closest to the camera.

Hmmm. Hubcaps instead of Rally wheels. Might be a low option version. A base model Sport Coupe, with just a little more added.

Hey, bud. Those aren't hub caps. No dog dishes. Those are optional Mag Style Full Disc Wheel Covers. Why, that option set the guy back more than the Tri-Volume Horn.

Poverty caps, indeed. Some jokers got no respect.

And yes, dog dishes were standard on the RS. It's Chevrolet. Hell, the first several years you had to pay extra to get a V-8 in an Impala SS.

From Story Sloane's collection that he inherited from his dad, also a professional photographer in the Houston area. He has been on a mission to digitize all the film negatives in the collection before the eventual cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, and silver mirroring degrade them and make them useless. Even with cold storage.

Might be the base model but the hide away headlights and the hood ornament are both nice options :D
