What is your favorite steam locomotive wheel arrangement?

0-3-0, and that ain't a typo!

 

I'm taking a liking to the 4-12-2...

 

I know... I used to favor superpower steam over the earlier fast wheel arrangements. Now, I'm not so sure. I like Mountains as much as Berkshires, and especially like 4-10-2s and 4-12-2s. Unfortunately, there were only a few classes of 4-10-2 and only one of 4-12-2.

 

Got to go with NP 4-8-4's although their Z-7 Challengers were also beautiful engines...

 

any 4-8-4 is my favorite, but I like ALL steam locos!
