What decoder for kato N SDP40F

    What decoders sound/non sound are available for a kato N scale SDP40F.

    I wouldn't say it is any more difficult than any other drop in board for a Kato

    Okay that's why I asked as I've been out of n scale for a little while.

    Do they even make a sound decoder for this engine just curious

    No. there is no drop-in sound decoder for Kato locomotives, it is done by milling a space for the speaker enclosure and cutting the lightboard up a little to connect the sound decoder. There have been some that have tried using the ESU board decoders but they still require a lot of frame mods.
