Folks Went to the mountains with the SO and dropped her at a jobsite in Spruce Pine. Well Altapass is right there so I took a short drive over. Well the gate was open and the sign was illegible so we drove up to the tunnel. Caught a coal train drifting southbound, dynamics at full tilt. Check out the brake smoke in one of the last pics.
I never heard of Altapass before - nice shots! Looks like the flash on the camera was working - the reflective paint strips are glowing!
