For some reason, this Flexcoil truck sitting in the Grass in Tillamook caught my attention.

2010, POTB is in the midst of cutting up it's fleet of Caddys as it decides it make more sense to divert FEMA funds to the port than to the railroad.

The White Pass & Yukon are rebuilding their old Alcos with modern cabs and environmentally friendly prime movers. Now they put out clouds of white smoke instead of black smoke.

Is this due to a lean fuel condition? Or something else?

I really don't know. This one was puffing around in the engine yard so may have had some maintenance issues or was not warmed up yet. I just thought it was kind of amusing.

Woah, that looks like it was in a pretty serious smash.
Looking at that article, you can't really tell how the locos looked, but there you go.
I didn't even know that such a wreck occured.

    Yikes! :startled:

Looks like it had a date with a ravine... and they did a nice job rebuilding it.
