This Knoxville Locomotive Works is a single engine 1050HP Tier 4 loco with an MTU diesel under the hood.

Probably destined to Stockton Terminal and Eastern.

Found her on the Sand Track in Roseville where the shops stick the contract work.

Due to a bridge being washed out at Devil’s Gate in Weber Canyon, UP Vice President Thomas Durant’s train was delayed a few days. Here, the engine crew discus getting the train to Promontory Summit a few days late for the delayed ceremony.

Spring has sprung in South Carolina. With wisteria in boom, NS 213 rolls through Magnolia Interlocking at Spartanburg on 04/03/2019.

CN Arnold siding, Chilliwack BC. 49.1382717N, 122.0625117W

The Canadian was stopped there for at least an hour this afternoon waiting for a signal.

Apparently passenger travel in Canada is treated about the same as here in the USA? :(

Yeah, sad to hear that. The Mrs. and I took a Talgo from Tacoma to Portland for the weekend 2 years ago and at 79mph posted track speed, still took us 3+ hours to get there-freights about every 10 miles kept us at 25-30 mph according to my GPS on my phone. o_O

    Sorry I'm late...

    "Bad Ordered"
A veteran BNSF Goat Boat sits bad ordered (likely for the missing headlamp) at Minot as storm clouds build overhead. Rokinon 14mm.

A nickname for the paint scheme, it is in similar colors to the Great Northern paint scheme from the 50's. Great Northern's "mascot" was Rocky the Goat, which was on the sides of all rolling stock, and everything PR from the railroad.

    Here's an example..... afc41e01ddf8221a8b7dc77dbbf154ab.jpg

As noted, the GN-ish paint. And that it is a GE, a very vague connection to their long ago now "U" series diesels.
