Oh, and the NWP had a BUGX ex Santa Fe Geep a few years ago, before they had the Genset and their MP15.

I found a notation about this via Googling. Apparently these folks are amongst those who accumulate items, and simply let them disintegrate. All the while believing they are worth big dollars. Disgusting.... :(

Exactly what happened to the "Lost Locomotives of Roanoak". The old guy who operated the scrap yard was approached many times to sell some of his awesome collection but he wanted an exorbitant amount of money. When he died, his heirs then donated the rusting hulks to various museums and didn't take a dime for the lot.

We need the ability to click something other than a "Like" in situations such as this one! An emoticon expressing incredible sadness would work well.....

Seen it with aging classic cars too, where a "collector" parks them outside to rust away over the decades until they're not good for anything.

I was just gonna say that. I see it all the time. Poor cars rotting away with "NOT FOR SALE" sign on them.

Yes, I was going to say. Turlock is where a large portion of the junk line that was a Schellville ended up. THe equipment fenced at Schellville is all NWP equipment. I think most of Monson's stuff is now in Turlock.
