image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Do you ever have projects that just kind of languish on your workbench? I finally got back to working on the D&RGW 3114. This is the unit either the odd radiator grills (of the four, three are corrugated, and one is the original chicken wire.) So I finished reaming out the radiator fans, need to paint them and install the grills. Also need to add the Mars light to the nose, MU hoses, plow, horn...and the list goes on! image.jpeg

Do I ever have projects languishing? Ha! YES!! Too many, but not having a deadline or anxious customer pushing makes it easy to sleep at night with them unfinished!

Both. Most times my dioramas become part of my layout.

Last week we mentioned the Essex Ct. railway museum. For what its worth I will accompany the P&W train there again this year, at least on Saturday. I think I'm spending way too much time in Connecticut...

    Candy,
Besides the images we have seen of your great modeling efforts on this thread. Is there another place we could see more of your MRR?
    Thanks!

You Guys and Gal do so much I can hardly keep up with you. Great stuff one and all.
I did get a bit of modeling done the past week and weekend.

A beginning photo of a fairly large area roughly 3 ft by 20 linear ft.

I wanted to create a burned section. why? I don't know.

A few more trees and brush installed, never enough trees and ground clutter

Bottle brush tree modified by cutting a bunch of it away with rail nippers. Used Grape vine for the tree trunk.
    20171020_182246.jpg

Except for a 1/2 dozen trees my good friend Jim James made for me (which are being placed in prominent locations as he makes fabulous trees) I made or modified all these over the last couple weeks.

Beautiful work! I especially like the burned section. Your scenery skills are as good as your locomotive modeling.

That burned section is very well executed. One rarely sees anyone doing scenery of that nature.(y)

And you're way better at making trees - burnt and not - that I am...:ROFLMAO:

Thanks Ron. This was in Beatrice, Nebraska. Here is our schedule for upcoming shows.

There is a group out of Houston that is planning to join us and several others in KC next August.
