OK, I better get this thread going before I forget.
I took this shot last weekend when our club had the NTRAK layout set up for the fall layout tour. It was late afternoon and the sun was about to set. We had a big garage door open in the building where we were set up so the sun was shining on part of the layout.

Great contrasting shots...kinka like day and night.:D
I haven't taken many pics on the layout for a while but I thought I might post one from the past. A westbound freight with pool power heads toward Van Buren where it will change crews then continue toward Neff yard in Kansas City.

Nice work from everyone this week. For a change of pace, here's a B&W photo of K4s over Hammer Creek. DJ.

I love the O. Winston Link type image, DJ. I'll show my image for the week in sepia.

    Nice work all!

    Before and after comparisons.

BEFORE. My layout as it looked in 2007 shortly before I tore the scenery apart and redid it:

AFTER. Same area (and track configuration) as it looks today:

BEFORE. The yard as it looked in 2007:

AFTER. The reconfigured and expanded yard as it looks today:

Allow me to drop the bar for yas.
[IMG] Tis be a goodly amount of 10-12 years ago. It's a 4H diorama I did. Note the road is Hotwheels and the track ain't ballasted.
[IMG] ballasted two months ago, just recently photo'd. Yep, the Ballasting crew learned quite a bit since then and will attempt a cover-up. Redwood's a little farm town that used to be a refuel stop for engines on the branchline. Though the railroad isn't using either facility nowadays, a coal cmpany now operates out of the old tipple, and the town water is now in the water tower following damage to the orignal town tower.

I'll get back here with a B/W sometime

    O. Winston Link has visited

    Great photo!

Its looks like the work that O. Winston Link did of the N&W between 1955 and 1960.
