I've had a couple of my N Climax kits purchased by Z scalers, that's just a wonderful job and beautiful scenery. Was it operational? Who did it?
Randy, About the Z Scale Climax. I purchased the N kit from you when I was in Z scale around 2009. It is a static model. I did the whole shrink job to get it to Z. Later in 2010 I purchased the N Scale model from you as I had left Z behind. You installed a pager motor in the N chassis for me. Continuing on I have a Climax in HO and now I built one in my final scale On30. I guess I have it covered? Jim
Great looking pool hall. I assume (hope?) you'll populate with "gentlemen" in jeans, white tee-shirts, cigarette packs rolled in sleeves, slicked back ducktails, black leather jackets hanging on pegs, reminiscent of The Fonz. Of course surrounded by poodle skirt wearers whose subtle role is to ensure peace and order, while overtly providing admiring colorful background. BTW, I'm happy to see that the loveliest girl seen on many of your models has achieved life to become your new avatar photo. Though it's possible this same young lovely lady posed for your expertly crafted models.
What are you using to make the pool balls? Are there beads small enough? Or are they something else not coming into mind right now....? That's a nice detail!
Here's an upcoming project. After spending the entire summer on remodeling projects around the house and having done absolutely nothing on the layout, Signs will be going up on the businesses through the town, street lamps will be installed and figures will be added.
I have been working on this layout for over 25 years and have been collecting them since I started. Some are older Alloy Forms vehicles and a lot are from Classic Metal Works and the remainder from various manufacturers. If I ever come across one I don't have, I will get it. There are a few oddballs among them. Thanks for the comments.
Covered up the lower air tanks on this passenger Geep conversion with Green Putty, sanded smooth and painted. Will post finished picture later. I realize the number is incorrect (should be 2651) but who's looking lol. John
