First I've heard of anyone cutting nail polish to paint. Did you airbrush it? That's creativity for sure!
Mr. SP, The grey and red looks much better on the home railroad. For 65 years of my 76, I have been associated, through my dad and brother, with the SP and then a very short period with UP. I used to work the PFE ice docks in El Paso early 1960's. In my world the SP still lives. Carl
Yes, I air brushed it, and that's why I cut the finger nail polish with acetone, (which is what nail polish remover is.) It really opens up the different colours you can paint with.
Had some BN action today out on the MRR today. You can hardly go past the milepost without getting mooned, today 2 crews get the treatment. SOme of the images get burned into your brain, some you realy like, some you wish you could un-see. Then we see the westbound MJUNKER122A crossing from the #1 MT over the #2, and onto the east lead. Then as always the Yard Master never seems to be done with you, as he tells you to yard your train, and take the power to the cab tracks. Here we have a railfan snapping some photos too. As soon as the freight gets in the clear the Yard Master tells the coal load they can depart, here we have 2 classic SD70MAC's and an SD60MAC leaning into their familiar tonnage, and try not to pull it in-to starting it out. They head for MT#1 Here we have and East bound time freight blasting past Fruitvale at speed with a GP50 3110, 2 SD40-2's and a ex-CN sd40, now BNSF SD40-2. And here are our heroes!! The MofW guys, keeping us on the rail and on overtime. Looks like they are getting ready to replace a frog and the ties under it, makes my back hurt just looking at them. As always thanks for stopping by.

Mr. SP, those S12s and Geeps remind me of growing up in the SF Bay Area. Saw those and SP SW1500s all the time. Great memories.
