I started off designing some 3D printed parts: And nearly seven months later I ended up with this: Two cabooses down, two more to go!
I hope to get this caboose from Shapeways looking half as nice as your, Ryan. This will be Rio Grande 01466, the hack my Uncle used for many years going out and back on the TINTIC LOCAL.
I'm looking forward to seeing it finished, Paul. I have a couple Rio Grande cabooses to paint myself, but I would like to see you go first!
Didn't get very much done as far as modeling this weekend, did manage to get paint on this crane. Now to decal it and start the rigging process, that should only take a few months to do LOL.
I did think about just cleaning it up, and super detailing the inside, then decaling the out side....but Painting is easier.
Here ya go Ryan, this thread shows to entire build. http://www.trainboard.com/highball/...on-the-grande-drgw-250-ton-derrick-028.93721/
