In the last years before the Katy Bluebonnet was withdrawn from service, the once mighty train was reduced to a single diesel and three cars in and out of Houston. With dwindling mail contracts the railway postal car only required a 15 foot compartment so one of the 218-222 series baggage mail cars was assigned. These cars were built right after WWII to serve in branchline service. This model was kit bashed from a Microtrain baggage car.

Good morning from mostly sunny and cold Northeast Ohio!

    On to today's contribution:

Another 40' Trailer from a group of 200 leased from a company I never heard of that gave the DT&I 610 trailers for use in Intermodal Service. Modified Athearn Bluebox trailer, painted with Scalecoat II White and Silver paint and lettered with Highball Graphics decals.

Athearn PC&F 50' RBL, painted with Scalecoat II NP Dark Green and Floquil Lark Dark Gray paints, then lettered with Champ Decals. The SP started the Evergreen Freight Car subsidiary to assure that the cars would be returned to their starting point as the eastern railroads would confisicate a lot of RBL's from other railroads and not return them quickly to the originating railroad.

Last saturday, went to the Strongsville Club with my Bowser M-630's and 14 of the Canadian Grain hoppers I have built.

    Thanks for looking!

    Good morning,

It's been awhile since I posted on this thread. Here a west bound Union Pacific container train is following along the Humboldt River in central Nevada on it's way to the port of Oakland in California.

It is delivery day for O. L. King & Sons as Reading ALCO S1 (Atlas) pushes a couple of coal hoppers onto the coal trestle. (I need to make a backdrop.)

Just a grab shot on my Delaware, Susquehanna & Northern RR, as a new load of rail arrived with an L&NE crane and work caboose. These are Dimi-Trains kits that I built 35+ years ago. Lots of work remains, but it's nice to finally have some track in place.

Using the 3/16" Glue Dots I just purchased today to hold my people or peeps up in a mini quick diorama. They work great. Now I don't have to use white glue on them. At least I hope not? And I can remove the peeps too, don't think I can remove the actual Glue Dots though? And the fact that they are clear is awesome. Now down the road who knows if I can move them if they have been stuck for a long time?

To remove the Glue Dots I gently rub them off. Then clean off the sticky with a drop of GOO GONE and a micro cloth.

Nail Polish Remover works good to. But only on harder surfaces.

Just curious. How long will the glue dots stay sticky? Can you substitute one figure for another or are we looking at one time use?

On my Test diorama, which is a Heavy piece of Balsa or such you buy at like Michael's or Hobby Lobby, I barely set them into the Glue Dot, basically no pressure at all, and I am able to remove them and use another figure. Now once I put the Glue Dot on the foamboard I doubt it ever coming up with out cutting it out. But don't know cause I have not tried it yet.

These little 3/16" are awesome so far. I will tell you one thing and it states it on the package. They could harm a surface, so don't go putting them on some nice piece of furniture or something. Others have used them here so they should work on, say building's like on a porch, steps, etc... I am going to assume they will never come OFF whatever surface to be safe.

I have removed the figures and put them back on the Glue Dot several times since last night. Your mileage may vary!

@RailMix They DO work on the 2" foam I am using. They come in packages of sheets, which I recommend, and rolls. As you can see there is one on a sheet. I would NOT get the roll's as I don't think they will be as easy to Apply? You tear OFF a single sheet, think round band aid's, remove the white backing and apply the Dot with the Clear part. Also, removed this figure several times and put him back. Could have changed him out for another one. Down the road after day's and month's, don't have a clue?
