The Rosenberg Railroad Museum has been building a real cool Garden Railroad. As a fund raiser, they will have a historic building from the area created in your name and put it on the layout. Because of space constraints, some compression and other issues, alternate positioning of buildings has occurred. The freight depot should be on the left side of the passenger depot and the REA office should be where it is. However, some really nice structures are represented. Looks kind of like one of my NTRAK modules. ;)

Here is the Vogelsang building. Somewhat compressed and as it looks today.

Here is my model of it in N scale as it looked in the early 1950s.

Russell, Thanks for starting us out and some nice pictures.

Candy, wonderful scene, but the door is upside down on the boxcar, and remember you can only have one 40' White Boxcar from the LV, they only had one!

Athearn 60' Berwick Hi-Cube Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Aluminum, White and Boxcar Red, the lettered with Oddballs Decals. Car was used to transfer auto parts from Ford's Melvindale, MI Parts Warehouse to various auto assembly plants around the US. This is the third car I have built in this series, need to find a couple of more as I have more decal sets for this car.

Starting point for a Rail Yard Models, PC Freuhauf G47 52'-6" Gondola Kit, doesn't look like much but I have to install all the tie downs on top of the gondola sides along with a bunch of etched metal parts.

    See you all later!

I hate it when that happens. And usually at some train show, someone will point out some embarrassing mistake when there are a bunch of folks standing around withing hearing.

Some years ago I wanted an N Scale Railbox car in the paint scheme I remembered when Railbox (and I) were young. I hade a difficult time finding anything that was affordable and available, so decided to do the job myself with a Roundhouse car and Microscale decals.

You may be thinking of LV's map car? The LV had a number of white boxcars in 40' and 50' lengths in regular service as shown in Craig Bossler's book.

Your MoPac high cube looks great!

To be honest Candy, I was so happy to see anything LV that I didn't even notice the door. Thank you for posting! Consign it to LV's Sayre Shop for a quick fix and all will be well.

No. I was not based on a number of sources, the LV had one 40' Boxcar and a number of 50' Cars, it is just like the NYC, they only had one 40' Boxcar with the Yellow Early Bird symbol but hundreds of the 50' Boxcars.

And thanks for the complement on the Mopac High Cube, I was also happy that Oddballs had a stretched out Circle that when applied over the rib, it came out correctly.

And, Candy still a great scene as usual, but since I do so much with car modeling that door jumped right out at me.

Got a week long exhibit coming up at the end of the month and have had my Japanese modules out to clean them up and add some more details. Here is a small scene from those modules...

Busy crossing - Pedestrians and one taxi wait at the grade crossing just outside Musashi-Koyama station in Tokyo as one 5050 series train enters the station and another one departs on the Tokyu-Megro line.

    Great work everyone!

Josta: great atmosphere in your scene!!!
Candy: excellent street running scene! One of my favorite aspects and a reason for picking Pasadena for my layout was the ability to have similar scenes!

    Thanks for posting!

Wolf, very nice shot as always, but it brings up a vehicle question. Since I'm not sure if I'm a model railroader with a lot of vehicles or a vehicle modeler with a lot of trains and I know N scalers have access to different vehicle models than we do in HO, I'm always curious. I'm thinking the first car is a '50 or thereabouts Olds (manufacturer?) and the CMW '53 Ford is a staple in both scales. I am, however, curious about the orange pickup truck. International?

If I stand on my head maybe they would look right ....No...I'm wearing a skirt

I managed to turn the doors over. They were both upside down. It wasn't easy. I was afraid I'd break them.
