Good morning from cloudy and cold Northeast Ohio, temps in the teens and wind chill below "0".

Finally started work on some car kits, got a couple done and working on two other ones before firing up the air brush.

The last two weeks we saw downtown Davidsville and Sarah's Valley; tonight we see Baumgardner Hills. This town is actually in N scale (the rest of the layout is HO scale) in a corner above the layout for forced perspective with 1.5 volt bulbs. The road to the right leads down to the depot, which will be a another series after the downtown series of pictures.

A shot from one of my Ntrak modules that I have not had out for quite awhile. Getting it ready for a show that is coming up in 4 weeks.

Yup, fries and a root beer were my things to get there. Loved the fries but never was too much into their burgers for some reason. I recall the larger take out root beer came in a cone shaped container of some sort.

This kit is from Randy Brown Models (formally Arrowhead Models). Many A&W's had covered drive up spots and would not be hard to scratch build and added to this kit in a spot with a bit more room.

This is an older photo of the D&RGW 3048m the only GP35 on the roster to receive the "Billboard" lettering.
It received this paint job after a wreck, and was rebuilt by EMD.

Yeah. I absolutely remember that cone shaped container. It held a quart. Loved the coney dogs, too. Our A&W also offered great fried mushrooms.

Very nice scene and the vehicles set the period nicely.
