I suspect there are not very many of those in HO, let alone N scale. Absolutely a very masterful kitbash.
Questions, questions........ 1. Seems like I recall the presence of a brand new '58 in the showroom in your layout thread, which would place the time period in late summer of 1957. Am I right or was I just seeing things? 2. Is the sweet looking '57 Nomad out in front of the dealership a commercial product or a kitbash? Just answered this question for myself. Looks like one of several new GM offerings from Oxford. Very Nice! 3. What about the police car at the back of the lot? In for service or is that a speed trap? All in all outstanding, but I'm afraid I won't be buying a Chevy. I'll be patronizing a suspiciously similar looking Ford dealer if I ever get around to building it.
Jim, best wishes as you embark on new interests. I hope you will continue to share any of the photos that may remain in your archives. You have shown us some very fine work.
Ditto here, Jim. Keep the photos coming. Your models always have that great storybook quality, and your work has inspired me - and countless others - in the hobby. Best wishes and my deepest respect to you.
The '57 nomad is the new Oxford offering. A bit sharper details compared to their previous models. Here's the '55 Buick they also released. Another excellent model.Yes, that is a Nash Rambler parked on the corner.
