On the bridge I'm rebuilding, I changed the location of the guard rails. I moved them over toward the center. On curves if you put the rails per ME directions, the engines will rube the rails and slow down. I think they look better.I also cut the rails into 39ft lengths. A lot easier to put down. Curtis
That would be squirrel heaven round here. Them critters would strip the sun flowers and eat all the veggies in short order. Worse than locus.
The greenhouse and the bench look perfect. Have to say, the gardeners must be draconian about the weeding!
Hauling Stock Livestock used to travel in a Grande style...headed for the super market after a brief stop at the slaughter house....
The owners obviously spend too much time gardening and not enough time with the trains in the basement. The cauliflower looks ready to pick, what's the red stuff?
THANK YOU ALL! I need a few weeds. No garden is perfect. This picture shows the garden shed installed at an earlier stage. I painted it to match the house
Attached, is a shot of a small, N scale, experimental, layout I built to test the reliability and operating characteristics of Atlas Code65 track. I am happy to report everything runs very smooth, the track with realistic tie spacing looks very realistic and because the railroad I model is the IC, the ballast color is pretty close to the limestone they use. Included but not easy to see, is a bridge rectifier under one of the straight sections of track on the straight leg of the wye which acts as a reversing section for the wye. I usually use a battery power pack to run it but other times a power pack. This was built to be one end of an around the walls layout in the event we move to a smaller space when I retire. Barry
Nice to see you experimenting Barry, verifying concepts with a small investment is the best way to get started.
Thanks, Hytec for the nice words. Actually I was in N scale for 45 years and still have over 200 cars, 50 locomotives, additional track and structures stored for a future layout when/if required. For the last five years I have built a very simple HO layout, around the walls, 25x25' with a wye on one end and a balloon track on the other. This has given me the opportunity to explore and add DCC/ sound to my few HO locomotives and also to some N scale ones. BTW when can we see additional pictures of your fine B&M layout or are they in an album here? Barry
Don't forget a Gopher mound or two, and maybe a rabbit hopping around. :teeth: I love your creativity, Candy!
