As always great modeling everyone! My contribution this weekend started out as an early Athearn RTR SP GP40-2. Didn't take long to see that there was more wrong, than was right with the model it represented. After removing the factory roof top details I added the proper stuff including Cannon exhaust, dynamic and cooling Fans. After removing the factory nose I decided the sub base doors under the cab needed changed, so I milled those off, and installed Cannon SP type split doors on the sub base as well.
A Cannon 88" nose was installed, and the proper anti climber, brass stantions and some end handrails were bent up and installed. Got 3D printed front and rear headlight packages for the era desired and used. When installing the cooling fans I did a couple like they had been replaced with primer'd new fans. The fans come on at different water temperatures, with the #1 coming on first and so on. I enjoy modeling the little differences like that.
A bit of weathering, some AMB glazing, some wipers and it went to work this evening.
