With all the talk on some of the other forums about Santa Fe motive power, I decided to drag out these old photos.

This is my tunnel module. It was fun to built - and it's fun to take pictures:

And my latest project, an engine for the 2 1/2 years old grand daughter:

Flash... my Dad has one like that but in red - an old Lima. A pretty smooth and powerful mover, too.

I got out this this 70's era Bachmann switcher and decided to get some black and white shots of it. The first two are descent but I really like the last one.

6206_S1a: Nice! I like your video - I have a pipe very similar to yours that I bought at the Tinderbox in Fort Wayne Indiana back in the late 1970's. I have a couple corn cobs, too!

From the pikemasters open house today

The dynamics are howling as a UP RS-27 and 2 GP9B's lead a manifest down the grade into Thompson Canyon. Behind it a Santa Fe Manifest assaults the hill.

In Salida, Colorado, A trio of D&RGW SD40T-2's and a BN SD40-2 wait their turn to head towards Grand Junction.

Up in the mountains, D&RGW #375 wait to descend down to Salida with a cattle train

A MoPac GP15 idles on the yard lead with the portable outhouse.

This one was a gag because in real life the GP15 was a poor seller due to the fact it lacked a bathroom. This was my solution.

    enjoy everyone.

    Winter vegetation

In a mysterious turn of events, weeds and grass have sprouted throughout Hill City, even as winter looms in the sky above.

This shot is showing off some of the groundcover work that I completed this afternoon.

Here are my recently completed cars!

This is a McKeen Models ACF Welded side Boxcar used to represent a GATC Boxcar. Substituted a 9' Youngstown Sliding door for the kit supplied 8' door to match the prototype. Also installed Details West extended coupler pockets, painted in Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Highball Graphics decals.

This is an Overland Models I-12 Brass Caboose. Painted with Scalecoat Caboose Red, then baked in the oven in order to have the paint adhere better to the model. Lettered with Champ Decals.

This is a Rail Shops (Ex Eel River) Flat Kit of a 62' RBL mostly used in Coors Beer Service. Model is painted with White and Boxcar Red and letted with Microscale decals.

    Thanks for looking!

An Espee Tunnel Motor, A CN Dash 9, and a DRGW SD50 all await orders at Salida, Colorado.

I saw this through the woods, a pair of UP executive cars on the tail of a UP manifest.

    Goose #5 taking a breather.

A UP SD40-2 waits to depart with a grain train while a UP U50 approaches with a manifest in tow.
