My D&H Collection Expands this weekend

In some ways one can say my D&H Collection is complete as it has expanded into G Scale for the first time. My D&H collection now contains Z, N, HO, S, O and now G...

Thanks Jerry. It doesn't look to bad in pics but it still needs a little work (more puffy white) to be more presentable in person. But it is the effect I was looking for. That area of the layout makes a 180 so you are surrounded so to speak and the visual is better.

It occurs to me that your "friends in the graphic department" might be a big help if you ever need some sort of photo backdrop for your layout. :)

Wow... I guess I'll be digging up my wife's garden this fall. Who knew there were scale model trees growing under there?

Mike, you deserve every word of praise coming your way these days! Amazing!!!

I show Seneca Yard with a distant train approaching via the switchbacks in the highlands. It'll take that train another 10 minutes to arrive in the yard.

    Great work all!
I have some pics of U23B #6330 doing a little switching in North Branch. I shot both black and white and color.

There's always that one crazy guy in town who can climb up on roofs. Just so happens he's a train fan and got an EPIC shot of the 6330

Gotta love vandals...the RR will be replacing those crossbucks soon.

    one last minute addition.

my progress on my Santa Fe local.

Right now I have my trusty H-15-44 in the lead. this unit is a bowser die-cast shell on an athearn drivetrain.

Second is a Broadway Limited express car. this one is lettered for the rock island. I have another 2 around here somewhere. I need to get like 4 more of these for en-route switching.

the first coach is a riverassi Heavyweight. this coach is for the lower fare passenger and those connecting to coach. Just the basics, seats and bathrooms.

second coach is an athearn bluebox. this car is for those connecting to a sleeper, it has Air Conditioning, a lunch snack, and nice big comfy seats.

This one was posted in another thread in the N scale forum:

Very nice job on this model! It's the same route I had planned on taking, using the Athearn 62' tank and Linde decals I got from a friend a few years ago...

    Nice Work!

I would guess middle to late 1950s, judging mainly by the width of the door... looks a bit over the 6 foot that was common up until about then.
