Looking great, John; amazing what difference a few minutes of weathering, even with chalks/weathering powders (which is what I use; I like to be able to easily "undo" what I've done) can make towards realism! HO Explorer, looking forward to the continuation of your incredible photography, on the new layout! Tom, love the smoke exhaust! I've got to start doing that, too! John
There is nothing but DRGW power........ See more here: https://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/z-scale-in-liechtenstein.125241/
One from an earlier era but in the same series as last week's. These were taken as a test of the scrolling era concept, which I decided to adopt. Another of these photos, circa 1949, was recently posted here: https://www.trainboard.com/highball...in-your-collection.125680/page-3#post-1104469 Yet another photo, showing the same location in the early 70's was part of another post about the truck and its load on another forum, hence the closeup. Never mind that the GP35 is waaay too clean. By then, it should have been wearing the enchantment blue and crud scheme.
That's a super fine looking railroad Dogwood! I can almost hear those Fs and the flanges squeal on your trestle.
Many thanks Kurt! We are often in Canada BC. There I collect my ideas. Coming back to Revelstoke and Clearwater soon, this is going to be a great trainwatching.
